The event is free and open to the public. While registration is encouraged at NCWorksforyou.org, tickets are not required. Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with recruiters, explore career paths, and learn about skill requirements for various roles.
“Workforce development is a critical part of JCC’s mission, and we are proud to partner with CAWD and NCWorks to bring this opportunity to our students and our community,” said Dr. Vern L. Lindquist, president of Johnston Community College.
Pat Sturdivant, Executive Director at Capital Area Workforce Development, emphasized the impact of the event, stating, “CAWD and JCC have a common vision: prepare people for today’s jobs and connect them to businesses that offer big career potential. Anybody looking to start a career or move into a different field can use this opportunity to showcase their backgrounds or find out firsthand what skills they need to get in the door of these employers. Plus, most have work locations in Johnston County, which offers people the convenience of working where they live.”
