Opportunities for Vendors, Performers, and Sponsors
Selma, N.C. – Latinos Activate JOCO enthusiastically announces the 8th Annual JOCO Latino Festival, a vibrant celebration of Latino culture and community engagement. The festival is scheduled for Sunday, May 12, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This year's festival will be prominently situated along Raiford Street and Waddell Street, with comprehensive road closures to ensure a safe and festive atmosphere for all attendees. Specifically, the closures will be effective from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on May 12. Raiford Street will be closed from the intersection of Oak Street and N Raiford St to Anderson St and from S Raiford St to Railroad St. Additionally, Waddell Street will see closures from the intersection of N Pollock and West Waddell St to the intersection of E Waddell St and N Webb St. These closures will facilitate the placement of a delightful array of food trucks along Waddell Street, showcasing diverse Latino culinary offerings. To accommodate festival-goers, ample parking options will be available throughout the town.
The festival will also feature:
Vendor Stalls: Along Raiford Street, showcasing a variety of goods and services.
Live Entertainment: At the intersection of S Raiford St and Railroad St, featuring musical and dance performances celebrating Latino heritage.
Latinos Activate JOCO is dedicated to ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and accessible festival experience for all attendees. Comprehensive event insurance will cover all activities, and a request has been made for the town-owned stage for live entertainment.
Call for Participation: We seek vendors, performers, and sponsors to join this cultural extravaganza. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Sergio Benítez at sergio@latinosactivatejoco.com for more information.
Proceeds from the festival will support Latinos Activate JOCO's initiatives to empower the Latino community in Johnston County. Beyond a celebration, the festival enhances community understanding and engagement and supports local businesses.
