Gabriella Terry Honored as 37th Annual Triangle East ATHENA International Leadership Award Recipient

The Triangle East Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Gabriella Terry, CEO of Chefella’s LLC, as the recipient of the 37th annual Triangle East ATHENA International Leadership Award. The award was presented on October 10, 2024, at the Selma Civic Center.

Mrs. Terry was recognized for her business expertise and her commitment to community service. With over 10 years of experience, she is the president and CEO of Chefella’s LLC which encompasses four businesses. She is committed to community service serving on the board of several organizations. In addition when she sees a need she will create programs to fill them. She has made significant strides in supporting the homeless through her 'Chef In The Community' program. She also founded JUMP Ministries, providing free mentorship to women business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, helping them achieve success and empowerment in their professional journeys.

The Chamber also recognized the following finalists for their dedication to their professions and community service:
  • Melissa Blackwell, Superintendent of Neuse Charter School of Johnston County, with a 24-year career in education spanning roles as a teacher, principal, and superintendent.
  • Cindy Brookshire, regional representative for the North Carolina Writers’ Network and advisor to Neuse River Writers. Cindy is known for her extensive work in writing and community organization.
  • Suzanne Ross, director, Small Business Center at Johnston Community College and North Central Regional Director for the NC Community College system, with a rich background in education, business ownership, and marketing, as well as a dedicated community volunteer.
  • Shannon Sellers, CEO and owner of Showing My Roots, a business dedicated to coaching women through life transitions. Shannon’s leadership was further recognized when she graduated at the top of her class in the 2023 LaunchJoCo program, earning a prestigious scholarship.
