Eastfield Economic Development Summit Held

Local, regional and state leaders gathered at AdVenture Development's Third Annual Eastfield Economic Summit, where presenters highlighted the benefits of partnerships to achieve economic success in our communities.

Town of Selma, NC Mayor Byron McCallister summed it up best when he proclaimed, "Eastfield has arrived!"

A key highlight was the premiere of a new video showcasing Eastfield—a smart, mixed-use development transforming Selma. The 5-minute video, narrated by President and CEO Kevin Doughertyprovides a compelling update on the project and its vision for Selma's future.

The summit featured a property bus tour and insightful presentations by several community leaders, including Chris Johnson (Director, Johnston County Economic Development), Mayor Byron McAllister (Town of Selma), Butch Lawter, Jr. (Chairman, Johnston County Board of Commissioners), Kevin Dougherty (President/CEO, AdVenture Development), Dodie Renfer (President, Electus Governmental Affairs), Maureen McGuinness (President, Triangle East Chamber of Commerce), Troy Brindle (F(X) Robotics), and Jennifer Collins (District Engineer, NC DOT).
