On December 23, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit temporarily reinstated the beneficial ownership reporting requirements of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), reversing a December decision by a Texas judge to halt the requirements. Shortly after the appeals court decision, the Treasury Department extended the filing deadline to January 13.
