Eastfield Celebrates LongHorn Steakhouse Opening

Selma, N.C., Feb. 26, 2026 - AdVenture Development celebrated the ribbon-cutting for LongHorn Steakhouse, joined by Selma Mayor Byron McAllister, Johnston County Commissioner Michael Rose, Darden corporate representatives, and 50+ ambassadors of Triangle East Chamber. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the third national restaurant opening at Eastfield, the 435-acre, 3 million-square-foot master-planned, mixed-use, Live-Work-Play development in Selma, NC; I-95, Exits 97 and 98.

Selma Mayor Byron McAllister remarked that the 90+ new jobs at LongHorn Steakhouse, and the 5,500 jobs Eastfield is projected to generate when fully built out, represent a generational change for the citizens of Selma, NC. Johnston County Commissioner, Michael Rose, noted the positive economic impact of new businesses open at Eastfield in Johnston County through new tax revenues, “$87 million in NC sales tax revenues came back to Johnston County last year,” stated Commissioner Rose during the ribbon-cutting.

Eastfield is a 435-acre, 3 million-square-foot master-planned, mixed-use, Live-Work-Play development. Residential components include 211 single-family homes, a senior living community, and Quincy at Eastfield, a 348-unit multifamily community currently under construction. Commercial features include Eastfield’s 375,000 s.f. shopping center, a business park, specialty retail, medical facilities, coworking spaces, hospitality, restaurants and entertainment. Recently completed projects in the development include Eastfield's 375,000 s.f. shopping center and Eastfield Business Park Building 100, home to Veetee Foods and Crystal Windows.
