2nd Annual Downtown Selma Wine Walk

Selma Lions Club Welcomes Participants on April 26th to Taste Wine in Support of Local Schools 

Selma, North Carolina — The Selma Lions Club will host the 2nd Annual Downtown Selma  Wine Walk on Friday, April 26th from 5-9 PM. More than twenty downtown businesses will  welcome wine walk participants offering a wide variety of wines and juices provided by  Hinnant Family Vineyards and Winery of Pine Level.  

Tickets can be purchased online for $25 until Friday, April 26th, by visiting Downtown Selma  Wine Walk Tickets, Fri, Apr 26, 2024 at 5:00 PM | Eventbrite. The remaining tickets will be  available at the door for $30. Check-in is floating and will begin at 5 PM inside HTR  Southern Properties at 110 N Raiford Street. Here, they will receive their event passport  brochure to help guide them through a delicious tour of Selma. Each passport will be  stamped following a tasting, allowing up to twelve wines and two juices per person. 

Johnston County’s local singer, Ms. Allison Radcliffe, will perform live from 5-9 PM.  Businesses will be open for tastings, shopping, and exploring. Participants can enjoy  dinner from a variety of locations before, during, or after their tours. Menu options include Italian, creole, and fresh seafood items. 

Each ticket purchased will receive an entry into an impressive gift basket drawing,  additional entries may be purchased from the Selma Lions Club during the event.  Contents of the basket include amazing items donated from all participating  businesses. The winner will be announced at 8:30 PM by Allison Radcliffe.  

Participants will return to HTR Southern Properties for their last stop of the evening. Here, they will receive their custom event wine glass, proudly sponsored by Coates Hearing  Clinic of Smithfield.  

“The Selma Lions Club motto is “we serve” doing whatever is necessary to help local  communities.” Stated Susan Coombs, Lions Club Member and event organizer. “As  Lions, we serve youth through the LEO Lions Program, organizing and participating in community projects that often support schools through scholarships, recreation, and  mentoring.” Continued Coombs.
