Triangle East Prospers Announces Investor Meeting Schedule as Region Prepares For Implementation Launch

The Triangle East Chamber of Commerce announced its quarterly investor meeting schedule for the upcoming implementation phase of the Triangle East Prospers initiative. Beginning June 1, the Chamber will formally assume leadership of the regional economic development effort, transitioning from a successful campaign led by national firm POWER 10 to a strategic focus on community impact.

The Triangle East Prospers campaign is a bold, five-year initiative to strengthen workforce readiness, break down talent barriers, and grow businesses across Johnston County. Led by the Triangle East Chamber in partnership with public and private leaders, the campaign has raised $853,000 to date toward its $1.3 million goal. A total of 28 investors have joined the campaign so far, each playing a critical role in shaping the region’s economic future.

The meetings will provide eligible investors with an exclusive platform to stay engaged, review progress on implementation goals, and shape the initiative’s rollout. This phase includes preparing for new staff hires, program launches in workforce development and childcare, and major renovations to the Chamber's facility to create a business and entrepreneurship hub.

“Investors have committed enthusiastically to this vision,” said Chamber President & CEO Maureen McGuinness. “Now, it’s our responsibility to communicate clearly, lead decisively, and demonstrate early action that positions us for measurable success in 2026.”

Investors participating include AdVenture Development, Barbetta, First Citizens Bank of Smithfield, Local70, Duke Energy, Gateway Engineers, HomeMasters Termite and Pest Solutions, KS Bank, Partners Commercial Realty (Teresa Daughtry), The Armstrong Law Firm, PA, and the Fleming Family.

The Chamber’s initial priorities include convening expert working groups on workforce housing, childcare, and transportation; developing employer-led engagement strategies and toolkits; producing scorecards to track talent and housing needs; finalizing designs for a business support hub; and establishing a regular cadence of investor updates to
ensure accountability and alignment.

The first investor meeting will take place in person on August 12, 2025. This kickoff session will mark the official transition from campaign fundraising to implementation planning and offer investors a comprehensive update on the initiative's trajectory, leadership responsibilities, and what to expect in the year ahead.

The Chamber will continue fundraising throughout the implementation phase, offering new and returning investors the opportunity to strengthen the initiative’s foundation and expand its regional impact. There is still time to join this movement and help accelerate its momentum as the region prepares for program rollouts.

“Triangle East Prospers is more than a plan—it’s a promise to our families, workers, and small businesses,” said Chris Johnson, Director of the Johnston County Economic Development Office. “We are proud to see so many leaders stepping forward, and we welcome all who want to invest in the future of Johnston County.”
