Triangle East Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Summer Intern Abbe Harris

SMITHFIELD, N.C. – The Triangle East Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Abbe Harris as a summer intern, where she will support the Chamber's efforts in community engagement, member relations, marketing, and event coordination.

A student at Meredith College, Harris is pursuing a degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. Through her internship, she will gain hands-on experience working with local businesses, community leaders, and Chamber programs that support economic growth and connectivity throughout the region.

"We are excited to welcome Abbe to the Chamber team this summer," said Kelly Wallace, President & CEO of the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce. "Her enthusiasm for communications and public relations, combined with her desire to learn and engage with our business community, will make her a valuable addition to our organization."

Harris said she is looking forward to learning more about how local organizations support businesses and strengthen communities.

"I am excited to begin my internship with the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce and gain hands-on experience in community engagement, business relations, and event coordination," Harris said. "I look forward to connecting with community members, building relationships, meeting new people, and learning from local leaders throughout the summer."

In addition to her academic pursuits, Harris enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, needlepointing, and spending time with her one-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever, Millie.

The Triangle East Chamber of Commerce regularly provides internship opportunities that help students and emerging professionals gain practical experience while contributing to initiatives that strengthen the local business community.
