The Town of Smithfield is pleased to welcome East Carolina University to Johnston County for an upcoming Graduate School Fair on Tuesday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at Smithfield Town Hall and is free and open to the public.
The Graduate School Fair is designed with municipal employees in mind, but it is open to anyone considering graduate or professional education. Community members, students, and alumni from any university are encouraged to attend.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from a wide range of ECU graduate and professional programs. Representatives will be available to answer questions, discuss admission requirements, and walk attendees through the application process. Whether someone is just beginning to explore advanced degrees or is actively planning their next step, the fair offers a chance to gather clear, helpful information in one place.
“We’re excited to host this opportunity here in Smithfield and make it easy for our employees and residents to explore continuing education,” said Kim Pickett, Smithfield’s Interim Town Manager. “Events like this support professional growth and help strengthen our local workforce.”
Dr. Debra Jackson, dean of the ECU Graduate School, noted the value of connecting face-to face with prospective students. “Whether you’re considering a master’s degree, a doctoral program, or professional school, this fair is a perfect opportunity to gather information and make informed decisions about your future,” she said.
