Smithfield, NC — The Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation (DSDC), in partnership with the Smithfield Historic Foundation and Carolina Packers, is excited to announce a series of holiday movie events at the Smithfield Performing Arts Center, located at 141 S. 3rd Street.
The community is invited to experience the magic of the season with beloved holiday favorites for the whole family:
-
December 6th at 11:00 AM – PJs & a Movie: A special showing of The Polar Express. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas and enjoy a festive morning. Thanks to our friends at Carolina Packers, each ticket includes complimentary hot cocoa and Christmas cookies.
-
December 19th at 7:00 PM – A Christmas Story, the timeless classic filled with nostalgic holiday charm.
-
December 21st at 1:00 PM – Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, a family favorite that brings the meaning of Christmas to the holiday season.
Tickets for each movie are $5 per person, with proceeds going toward the restoration of the historic theater and helping the community create meaningful programming for the new Smithfield Performing Arts Center.
“There’s so much to do in Downtown Smithfield this holiday season,” said Heidi Gilmond, Director for the DSDC. “We’re thrilled to bring families together to enjoy classic films in a space that reflects our community’s history and future.”
