Partnership Raises Over $28,000 for Johnston County Children

Johnston County — On Friday, April 4th, the Partnership for Children of Johnston County hosted its inaugural “Fore the Kids” Golf Tournament, successfully raising over $28,000. Participating teams were eager to “putt for a purpose” as they generously gave to support vital initiatives known to enhance the lives of children. While hoping to score big, golfers contributed to essential resources like parenting education for caregivers, classroom support for teachers, and critical items like diapers and car seats for children. The organization attributes its success to the outstanding golfers, generous sponsors and donors, tireless volunteers, and committed staff and board members. Special thanks go to the Country Club of Johnston County for hosting the event, White Swan BBQ for catering lunch, and Carolina Portrait Pros for capturing the day’s memorable moments.

"The enthusiasm and support we have received around ‘Fore the Kids’ has been incredible," shared Candy Scott, Executive Director. "Every dollar raised is an investment in the safety, education, and overall well-being of local children. With this generous support, we can continue facilitating programs that empower families and build bright futures." The Partnership invites the community to continue to support their work and help to shape the future for children in Johnston County.
