Downtown Smithfield Unveils New Brand and Website as Part of Ongoing Revitalization Efforts

Smithfield, NC — Downtown Smithfield is stepping into a new chapter with the launch of a refreshed brand identity and a brand-new website designed to better showcase the district and support continued growth. As part of the five-year transformation plan led by the Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation (DSDC), the organization has modernized the Downtown Smithfield brand to reflect the energy, charm, and opportunity found in the heart of the community.

A key part of DSDC’s mission is to attract both local residents and visitors from across the region to experience downtown. With that goal in mind, the new brand and website introduce a fresh look and feel that highlights the district’s unique character while improving how downtown is marketed to potential visitors, entrepreneurs, and investors. The new logo features flowing wave lines representing the river that marks downtown’s western border, paired with clean, fresh, modern colors that signal a forward-looking vision.

“Part of our mission is to attract visitors from near and far to Downtown Smithfield,” said Heidi Gilmond, Executive Director of DSDC. “With a fresh new look and brand, we’re not only reaching new visitors but also encouraging investment and redevelopment, creating an exciting new chapter for our downtown.”

With upcoming changes such as the removal of parking on Market Street and continued streetscape enhancements, the timing is ideal for a fresh start and renewed vision for downtown.
