KS BANK SPONSORED COMMUNITY EVENT FOR ENTREPRENEURS AND SMALL BUSINESSES
(Smithfield, NC) – KS Bank was the proud presenting sponsor of the first Harnett Business Resources Summit, hosted by the Dunn, Lillington, Coats, Erwin, and Angier Chambers of Commerce, as well as the Central Carolina Community College Small Business Center. The event provided tools, resources, and insights for entrepreneurs and business owners in Harnett County so they can grow and thrive in the competitive world of business.

KS Bank’s Chief Credit Officer, John Parker, spoke on the lending panel about loan and expansion resources available to small businesses. He answered questions from attendees related to new business financing and shared how KS Bank utilizes its longstanding relationship with the North Carolina Rural Center’s Small Business Credit Initiative to help facilitate small business acquisition and expansion opportunities with reduced capital requirements.

The event boasted several influential speakers, including NC Secretary of State Elaine Marshall, who introduced the Rural RISE NC (Resources for Innovators, Startups, and Entrepreneurs) program. NC State Senator Jim Burgin and NC State Representative Joseph Pike both addressed the audience. There were three panels of experts that shared information with attendees: the Liftoff Lab Panel, which promoted the program that teaches business owners best practices for success; a Business Support Panel; and a Lending Panel.

Attendees left the event with new connections, ideas, and knowledge to help them flourish in the competitive North Carolina business environment.
