Downtown Smithfield Launches New Podcast: Smithfield Sidewalk Stories

SMITHFIELD, NC – Downtown Smithfield is taking the conversation to the sidewalk with the launch of its very first podcast, Smithfield Sidewalk Stories!

Produced by the Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation (DSDC), Smithfield Sidewalk Stories will shine a spotlight on the people, businesses, stories, and happenings that make Downtown Smithfield special.

New episodes will drop every two weeks, giving listeners an inside look at what's happening downtown through conversations with the amazing people who help make our community what it is. Episodes will feature interviews with local business owners, community leaders, artists, and other downtown personalities, along with news, updates, and a look at what's new and what's coming up that you won't want to miss.

"Our downtown is full of incredible people with fascinating stories, and we wanted to create a fun way to share those stories with our community," said Heidi Gilmond, Executive Director of the Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation. "This podcast gives us a chance to pull up a chair—or maybe just meet on the sidewalk—and get to know the people who make Downtown Smithfield the special place it is."
