SMITHFIELD, N.C. — October 14, 2026 — Triangle East Chamber of Commerce is inviting local businesses, municipalities, Johnston County government, and community members to participate in Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day on Wednesday, October 21,2026.
The nationwide observance recognizes the role chambers of commerce play in connecting businesses, supporting economic growth, fostering collaboration, and helping communities prosper.
“Our Chamber is strongest when businesses and community leaders work together,” said Kelly Wallace, President & CEO of Triangle East Chamber of Commerce. “Support Your Local Chamber Day is an opportunity to celebrate the businesses that make our region special, recognize the value of working together, and encourage more businesses to connect with the resources and relationships available through Chamber membership.”
Triangle East Chamber is encouraging members to participate in a weeklong community campaign from October 19–23. Activities will include sharing campaign messages on social media, visiting and promoting local businesses, sharing member success stories, and introducing fellow business owners to the Chamber.
The Chamber is also inviting local governments and community partners to help spread the message through social media, newsletters, and other public communications. Their participation will help highlight the connection between a strong business community and a thriving region.
Local businesses interested in learning more about Triangle East Chamber membership are encouraged to contact the Chamber during the campaign week to learn about membership benefits and a special new-member welcome offer. “When we connect local businesses with one another and with opportunities to grow, we strengthen the entire community,” Wallace added. “We encourage everyone to celebrate the
businesses, partnerships, and people who make the Triangle East region a great place to live,
work, and do business.”
