The Triangle East Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Stephanie Hufnagle as the 2023 Emerging Leader Award recipient. This award honors exceptional leadership and community service among young professionals in the region.

Stephanie Hufnagle, an estate planning attorney at Narron Wenzel, has shown dedication in her professional career and extensive community involvement. Previously working in finance and auditing for General Electric, Stephanie brings valuable experience to her current role, where she trains staff and enhances firm processes. As President of the board of directors of the Johnston County Education Foundation, she oversees scholarships, grants, and the Showcase of Stars event. Through her leadership she has provided the board with fresh fundraising ideas and streamlined operations processes. 

Mrs. Hufnagle is also active with the Junior Women’s League, fills blessing boxes around the county, and has created special holiday meal kits and cake making kits for the blessing boxes her firm does during the holidays.  

A Leadership Johnston graduate, Stephanie exemplifies the qualities of an emerging leader, making a significant impact on the community. 

The Chamber congratulates all the nominees, including Emie Clevenger, Alicia Davis, Hannah Hill, Caleb Johnson, Danielle Kroeger, Casie Narron Riley, Brittany McCoy, Matt Phillips, Zackary Stephenson, and Vanessa Watson, for their exceptional contributions.

Additionally, the Chamber recognized John Parrish as Lifetime Achievement Recipient, Ron Hester as Citizen of the Year, and Zena Rose from Coffee on Raiford as Jimmy Creech Small Business Person of the Year at this year’s Legacy Awards. A photo gallery of the event will be released soon.
