J.C.A.R. announces The Dupree House is open for Events in Smithfield
 
Smithfield, NC:  Tuesday, November 7, 2023
 
J.C.A.R. (Johnston County Association of Realtors) is pleased to announce that The Dupree House is now open and ready to accept reservations for events.
 
“The Dupree House has been many things in the past.”  Stated CEO, Bonnie White. “However, it is now an event venue for smaller, more intimate gatherings.”
 
The 120-year old house, now owned by J.C.A.R., was built in 1903 and fully renovated in 1985. It will undergo a facelift in the next few months, getting a new fence, new paint and new landscaping.  Events such as bridal showers, holiday gatherings, first communions and birthday parties, to name a few, are now its focus.
 
“This house was just too good to be true and J.C.A.R. wanted to have an intimate space for people to reserve without breaking their budgets.” Continued White.  “Our space is not only affordable, but it is such an incredibly beautiful setting to hold your next special event, that we are sure the public will enjoy for years to come.  It is ‘Where elegance meets southern charm’.”
 
The Dupree House can accommodate up to 70 people downstairs in the main event room.  The bar area is an additional space to be included in rentals as well.  It has a 15-person conference room upstairs and a 300 sq. ft. deck for outside gatherings.
 
Hourly or daily rental options are available.  The staff is happy to show you the house between the hours of 9a-3p M-TH, or by appointment after hours and weekends.
