Leadership Johnston Class of 2023 Graduates Announced

Johnston County, NC – November 15, 2023 – Leadership Johnston, a collaborative effort of local chambers and organizations, celebrated its Class of 2023 graduation at The Barn at Broad Slab on November 14th. The celebration was sponsored by KS Bank, Lowell Mill Restaurant and Grill, Narron Wenzel, P.A., and MedicalTraining.me. The event featured a keynote address by Paul Carney, Author, and Chief Human Resource Officer at Carter Bank & Trust. 

Leadership Johnston is a nine-month program tailored for professionals seeking to ascend in their organizations. Through diverse experiences, including panel discussions, interviews, classroom instruction, and on-site visits, participants covered crucial topics such as communication, learning styles, cultural differences, team building, coaching, public speaking, change management, critical thinking, and unconscious bias. Sessions occurred in businesses throughout Johnston County. 
Guided by Melissa Overton, a John Maxwell certified trainer, the program offered practical leadership insights. Participants interacted with leaders from various sectors, including healthcare, manufacturing, government, biopharmaceuticals, economic development, non-profits, hospitality and tourism, and construction and land development. 

Leadership Johnston remains a cornerstone in fostering leadership skills, connecting individuals, and building a network of leaders committed to making a meaningful impact in Johnston County. 
The program is sponsored by KS Bank. Program partners include Triangle East Chamber of Commerce, Benson Chamber of Commerce, Clayton Chamber of Commerce, and Johnston Community College.
