Celebrate Christmas in Selma on December 6th with the Annual Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade.

Selma, N.C.- Join the Town of Selma on December 6th at 6:00 p.m. in front of the Town Hall located at 114 N Raiford Street, for our annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. There will be special holiday performances by Johnston County Choir and the Benson Baptist Hand Bells. The Junior Women’s League of Smithfield is hosting a reindeer food-making station for children. You can check off those on your Christmas list by shopping at local stores.

Country Superstars DJ Carlie will emcee the parade that will start at 7:00 pm. The Parade viewing route will start at the intersection of East Richardson Street and North Raiford Street. The parade will travel down North Raiford Street turning left on Anderson Street. The route will continue down East Anderson Street and end at the corner of East Anderson Street and South Webb Street.

This event is free for all to attend! There is a $30 parade entry fee for Businesses, no charge for nonprofits or individuals. People or organizations may register for the parade until November 18, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. if you need a float. The deadline for those not needing a float for the parade is December 1, 2022, at 5:00 pm. For more information or to register, please call 919-975-1411!
