Carl Lamm inducted into the Lizard Lick Hall of Fame

The mayor of Lizard Lick, NC, Woody Wood, came to WTSB Radio on June 6th to induct Carl Lamm into the Lizard Lick Hall of Fame as an honorary member.

The Hall of Fame recognizes the memory of the late Connie B. Gay who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Mr. Gay, from Lizard Lick, is remembered for discovering music legend Patsy Cline.

Richard Petty is also a member of the Hall of Fame.

Mr. Lamm, 89, who is now in his 68th year of consecutive radio broadcasting, was surprised by Mayor Wood with several mementos from the Lizard Lick Hall of Fame, including the first ever Golden Lizard Lick Award.

Mr. Lamm is also a Distinguished Citizen Award winner of the Smithfield-Selma Chamber (2002) and is a huge fan of the New York Yankees.
