Kickoff to Christmas: Holiday Market & Tree Lighting

Kick off the holiday season in Downtown Smithfield on Saturday, December 5th, as S. 3rd Street transforms into an open-air winter festival!

Stroll S. 3rd Street (between Market and Johnston) from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM to check off your holiday gift list with a variety of local market vendors, grab a bite from specialty dessert trucks, and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate sold in support of the Marlon Lee Memorial Scholarship. Throughout the afternoon, enjoy festive live performances as local community groups sing Christmas favorites and dance to holiday classics. Bring the whole family to the Courthouse lawn for inflatables and reindeer games, and stick around for an evening of festive entertainment. At 7:00 the Tree will be lit by the Jolly old elf himself, Santa Clause.
