The Selma Historical Museum will present a program on the history of Juneteenth at 11:00 AM at the museum. Writer and historian, Eric Jackson will share a celebration in Southern history, when the slaves in Texas were told of their freedom by the Emancipation Proclamation. His presentation will focus on the history and the legacy of Juneteenth and its meaning for future generations.
