The Johnston Health Foundation and Accelerated Claims, Inc. Annual Golf Classic is an annual fundraiser held in memory of Dr. Hubert M. Poteat, the first surgeon recruited to Johnston Memorial Hospital when it opened in 1951. The tournament began in the 1980s, and has continued as an annual tradition to support the Foundation.

In 2020, we converted our large, one-day golf tournament to a five-day event. By doing so, our participants were able to select their tee time and maintain social distance during the pandemic’s peak. The support we saw from the community was amazing! We learned many of our players enjoyed the option of selecting their tee time and the flexibility the multi-day event offered. This year, we are excited to offer the same flexibility within three days.
Please register by Friday, September 3 to allow ample time for scheduling. We also request that you pay in advance so that we can secure your tee time. If there is inclement weather on the day of your scheduled tee time, we will have flexibility to reschedule for you within the tournament week.
