Book Signing: On Fragile Wings

Smithfield native Rose Holland Brown will present her new book, OnFragile Wings, Wednesday, August 8 at The Bistro on Third from 5 to 7:00 p.m. The Bistro is located at 146 S. Third Street in downtown Smithfield.
 
Mrs. Brown is a native of Smithfield. Following a 13-year career as a Research Scientist in Biochemistry at Duke University, she changed careers to become a school counselor, earning a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from N. C. State. She was a school counselor in two high schools in North Carolina for the next 33 years. Mrs. Brown shares a wealth of expertise and wisdom in dealing with our young people. On Fragile Wings is written for teachers, parents, and young people and gives insight into some of the difficulties that youth have in reaching adulthood
