
AMERICA 250 FAIR
June 27, 2026 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Johnston Community College
Immerse yourself in a living history encampment by Camp Flintlock, including a parade and cannon firing; plus art and history displays presented by the Johnston County Arts Council and the Johnston County Heritage Center; a puppet show hosted by the Woman’s Club of Clayton; carriage rides; food and craft vendors; a juried Art and Photography exhibition; and information booths from local organizations.

Major Event Locations
The fair activities are distributed across several key areas of the campus:
- The Tart Building (Building D): This is the central hub for indoor activities. It houses the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium, which will host the Opening Ceremony and Entertainment. The building also contains the Cafeteria, an Art and Photo Exhibition, and a Puppet Show.
- Central Grassy Area (Near Wilson Building - C): The Food and Craft Vendors and the Living History Encampment are located in the open space between the Wilson Building (C) and the Tart Building (D) near Parking Lot 1, accessible via College Road.
- Carriage Rides: To begin and end between the Wilson Building (C) and the Tart Building (D) along Jaguar Drive.
Navigation and Parking
- Main Entrance: Visitors entering from College Road will find the majority of the vendors and the main auditorium immediately to their left and straight ahead.
- Parking: Numerous parking lots surround the event sites, including Lot 1 (near vendors and living history encampment), Lot 2 (near the auditorium), and Lots 3 and 4 (near the sports area).
- Campus Security: The campus security office is located within the STEAM Building (B) on the north-west side of the campus.
