SUMMARY:CWBN/JCC Foundation Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:The Greater Smithfield-Selma Area Chamber Women's Business Network and Johnston Community College Foundation present "Laughing All the Way: What Happens if Your Family Tree Has Root Rot" with author and humorist Celia Rivenbark. Do you suspect "root rot" in you family tree? Enjoy Celia Rivenbark as she shares humor blended with country tradition and pop culture about the ever-changing Southern family. Born and raised in Duplin County into one of the first families with inside plumbing\, Celia grew up in a small house in the country surrounded by a couple of dozen lanky and unvaccinated cats. But\, her rural Eastern North Carolina roots led her to award-winning journalist popularity. Celia has written several books\, including Bless Your Heart Tramp and We're Just Like You\, Only Prettier. She also writes a weekly humor column\, From the Belle Tower\, which appears in newspapers across the country. She recently retired from teaching children's Sunday School for 11 years after finally realizing she had no craft skills whatsoever. She's the lighthearted expert on the mind and soul of the South\, Gilmore Girls\, and Taco Bell.
