DESCRIPTION:Hats on for Women \n\n\n\nThe Smithfield-Selma Chamber Women's Business Network would like to invite you to our 2014 Career Advancement Scholarship Luncheon on Thursday\, May 8th where we will be awarding our scholarship recipients. The CWBN is committed to helping women achieve their professional goals as they seek advanced degrees\, certification\, or professional development.\n\n\n\nThe event will also feature a special fashion show with spring fashions from Pizazz\, Dressbarn and DeWayne's. Be sure to wear your spring hat as we celebrate "Hats On for Women".\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nFeatured Speaker\n\n\n\nJulie Ricciardi\n\nWilliam Peace University\n\nVice President for Engagement\n\n\n\nJulie Ricciardi leads William Peace University's Development and Alumni Affairs team\, where she manages all fundraising initiatives including the Capital campaigns and the Loyalty Fund.\n\n\n\nShe also serves on the university's senior cabinet creating institutional goals\, priorities and policies.\n\n\n\nAdditionally\, she teaches music at the university and leads the William Peace University Singers\, who are well known locally for their ambassadorship and connecting with the community on a higher level.\n\n\n\nRicciardi was the Director of the Musical Organizations Club at Purdue University for nine years\, prior to joining WPU. While there\, she coordinated and facilitated the club's fundraising events and campaigns\, successfully securing close to $5 million in gifts and pledges.\n\n\n\nShe holds an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Purdue University and has taught at an elementary school.
