Princeton Community Day Saturday, June 3

Princeton, NC – On Saturday, June 3, 2023, the Town of Princeton invites you to celebrate its 150th Anniversary during a huge Community Day Event, presented by The Linsey Dale Team, HTR Southern Properties. 

The celebration will kick off at 10:00 AM on the grounds of Princeton Elementary School, located at 650 Holts Pond Road, Princeton.  Entertainment will begin with performances by the Johnston County Community Choir followed by choreographed numbers from Princeton’s local Tippy Toes Dance Studio.  

At 12:00 PM, Princeton native, Donnie Lee Strickland will hit the stage providing over two hours of live entertainment.   Influenced by many top country artists, he has performed all over, opening for several well-known artists and groups and receiving awards for his top-notch entertainment.  

Throughout the event, over 25 vendors will be on display providing a variety of arts, crafts, jewelry, clothing, gifts and more.  Multiple food trucks will be on hand to offer a combination of savory and sweet items.  Kids will enjoy multiple activities including bounce houses, face painting and even a petting zoo.  While visiting the vendors, be sure to take a moment to snap a photo in the basket of an air-filled balloon.  The UNC mascot, as well as Princeton’s local Bulldog mascots, will join the crowd throughout the day and Princeton commissioners will take turns swimming in the dunking booth.  A large car show, law enforcement, emergency and military vehicles will all be on display to view. 

The Community Day Event, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Town of Princeton, will last until 3:00 PM and is sure to provide a full day of family fun.  The event would not be possible without support from presenting sponsor, The Linsey Dale Team and other local sponsors including: AUDIOSMITH, Quickshirts, The Beth Hines Team, Deacon Jones Automotive Group, Carolina Air Repair, Princeton Methodist Church, Xtreme Autosports, Manheim and Brenda Schneider-Mary Kay Consultant.
