Novo Nordisk Champions STEM Education with Donation to Boys and Girls Club of  Johnston County  

Johnston County, NC – March 11, 2025 – Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutical Industries, LP, a leading global healthcare company, has donated STEM kits to the Boys and Girls Club of  Johnston County, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for youth  in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).  

The STEM kits, rich with educational tools such as Legos, microscopes, and magnetic blocks,  provide practical, hands-on experiences designed to spark curiosity and foster critical thinking  among students. These resources are integral in encouraging young learners to explore STEM  fields and develop the necessary skills to succeed in the future.  

Nicole Niwa, Manager of Alliance Development and Social Responsibility, commented on the  company’s initiative, “We are thrilled to support the Boys and Girls Club of Johnston County with  these STEM resources. Our goal is to make a positive impact by enhancing educational  opportunities for children, particularly in the critical fields of science and technology.” Stacy Beard, Public Relations & Media Relations Principal at Novo Nordisk and member of the  Boys & Girls Club Advisory Board, emphasized the broader impact of the donation, stating,  "Fostering innovation is what we’ve done for more than 100 years at Novo Nordisk, and it all  begins with empowering our youth. The donation event was celebrated with an interactive session where club members engaged in  various STEM activities, highlighting the practical application of the tools provided. Kourtney Bowden, Club Director, expressed gratitude, noting, “Thanks to Novo Nordisk, our members  have new opportunities to learn through play. These STEM kits are not just educational  resources; they are gateways to imagination and discovery.”
