UNC Health Johnston Creates Mobile Outreach Unit
With the need for more accessible and affordable health care in Johnston County, UNC Health
Johnston has created a Mobile Outreach Unit. This primary health care “clinic on wheels” seeks
to treat uninsured residents in our community who are experiencing mild, non-emergent
illnesses at zero cost. Referrals, vaccinations, labs, and medications are also provided as
necessary. Patients 6 months to 65 years of age are treated by the Mobile Outreach Unit.
Each month, you can find it at the following locations:
● Every First Sunday - 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bright Leaf Flea Market, Smithfield
● Every Third Tuesday - 3 to 7 p.m., Harrison Gym, 601 W Noble St., Selma
● Every Last Thursday - 3 to 7 p.m., Harrison Gym, 601 W Noble St., Selma
