KS Bank Hires New Director of Human Resources

KS BANK HIRES NEW DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

(SMITHFIELD, NC) – KS Bank is pleased to announce that Mike Tidwell has been hired as Director of Human Resources and Senior Vice President. In this role, Tidwell will be responsible for managing of the bank’s human resources functions, including personnel selection, the performance appraisal system, and employee relations. He will also develop and maintain personnel programs that enable the bank to be effective and profitable as a result of the efficiency and motivation of each employee.

Tidwell has over 23 years of experience working in human resources, most recently as AVP of Human Resources with First Flight Federal Credit Union. He has experience creating talent management strategies to reduce turnover, developing leadership development initiatives to train managers, and serving as a conduit between company executives and staff. He also has served as a resource for staff regarding employment laws and applications.

Tidwell resides in Holly Springs with his wife and three children. He graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Human Resources. In 2012 he obtained his Professional in Human Resources Certification and his Certification from the Society of Human Resource Management in 2015. In his free time, he enjoys grilling, being outdoors, spending time with his family, and cheering on the Tar Heels.
