Set aside approximately 18 to 20 hours of time to:\n\n \n \n Participate in (2) planning and exhibit support calls with staff and other event sponsors\n \n \n Mark two event days (November 5 and 6\, 2026)\n \n \n Make a note that November 4\, 2026 is setup day.\n \n \n \n \n Create an interactive hands-on exhibit that captures your career field. An exhibit is an activity that students can cycle through within the 25-minute time allotment (i.e.: a game\, simulation\, experiment\, etc. that would be appealing and exciting to 8th graders).\n \n \n Gather your team. Find staff who will engage with students during the event. \n \n\n\n \n\n\nJOCO WORKS is an industry-led collaborative organized by a group of public and private partners\, including Johnston County Public Schools\, Neuse Charter School\, Johnston Community College\, and American Leadership Academy\; the Triangle East\, Benson\, Clayton\, Four Oaks\, and Kenly Area Chambers of Commerce. Together\, these partners work to meet the future workforce needs of Johnston County\, North Carolina.
